Job Creators endorse Amy Elik for State Representative

The Illinois Chamber, Illinois Farm Bureau-Activator Committee, NFIB-Illinois, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today announced their joint endorsement of Representative Amy Elik in the 111th District Illinois House race.

“Our members support candidates who support small business. Representative Amy Elik has shown that she understands the challenges facing Illinois’ job creators,” said NFIB State Director Chris Davis. “Our members believe Representative Elik will continue to work to create, protect, and maintain an environment where small businesses can thrive and create jobs.”

“During Governor Pritzker’s time in office, 24 tax and fee hikes have passed, not counting the failed graduated income tax hike Pritzker and Democrats campaigned on during the economic downturn in 2020. Taxpayers deserve accountability in government. We must stop spending more than we bring in, help families afford to stay together, and allow seniors to be able to afford to keep their homes,” said Elik. “I am honored to be endorsed by small businesses, farmers, and job creators, and I am proud to fight for a better future for our residents.”

The Illinois Chamber of Commerce also recently presented Elik with their 2022 Champion of Free Enterprise and Freshman of the Year Award in correspondence with the release of their 102nd General Assembly Legislative Ratings. Elik was the only freshman member of the Illinois House of Representatives to receive the highest honor during the 102nd General Assembly.

The endorsements from groups representing job creators are critical to Amy Elik’s campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. The business community’s support is based on Elik’s policy positions and record on small business issues.
