"Our first responders show up and help bring us through some of the most difficult moments in our lives. I am proud to have their support,” said Representative Amy Elik (R-Alton) in accepting the endorsement this week of public safety organizations representing law enforcement and firefighters.
The Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI), Sheriffs of Illinois PAC, and Troopers Lodge #41 joined together in endorsing Elik over her opponent, citing Elik’s proven record in support of protecting life and property.
“Residents who care about public safety will be well-served by re-electing State Representative Amy Elik,” said Chuck Sullivan, Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois President. “Representative Elik has proven that she understands issues affecting firefighters and paramedics and advocates for them at every opportunity. We proudly endorse Amy Elik for re-election to the 111th House District.”

We need legislators that will support law enforcement - not tie our hands. She is exactly who we need fighting for us in Springfield,” said Madison County Chief Deputy and candidate for Sheriff, Jeff Connor.
